This is an AWESOME garlic press
I have to admit, I was feeling a bit hesitant first because of the price. And I had high expectations after pulling the trigger. And, oh boy, I did not get disappointed with this one. The feeling of holding it in my hand after unpacking, it felt like a small dumbbell, so heavy, solid and well-made.The next step was proving to wifey that the expense was justified, so I whipped up some Spaghetti Aglio e Olio. And again, what a difference to my old generic press. Easy pressing (with skins), easy loading, easy quick cleaning in between (removing the skins). General cleaning was a breeze because of the open construction (no smelly hands because the frame works already like a stainless steel soap), and wifey was appeased with some delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio.I'm now considering this press as Christmas gift for friends. It's that good. Trust me. Get it.

The Finest Garlic Press Available
This tool is the real deal - a garlic press that works perfectly without any fuss, fiddle or excuses. An absolute must for the garlic-lover in your life! I liked it so much that I'm ordering a second one for the boat, and another for the RV, and another...Spare yourself the disappointment of those cheap look-alike presses. I tried the inexpensive Vovoly with predictable results - it fell apart on the second clove with less than 10 seconds use straight out of the box.

Worth it.
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased this garlic press made of 304 stainless steel, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its durability and design. It feels comfortable in the hand and is easy to load with a high capacity for garlic. Pressing is effortless, and the innovative cup-less design that swings open makes cleaning a breeze. The press also comes with a convenient cardboard case and styrofoam cutout for easy storage. While the price may be on the higher side, its durability and efficiency make it worth the investment for anyone who loves cooking with garlic. I highly recommend this garlic press and give it five stars.

The last garlic press you will ever buy
You might be asking yourself why anyone would pay almost $50 for a garlic press, and the simple answer is that this is literally the best garlic press. Back in the early 90s I was into pampered chef for awhile and got my first garlic press. It was probably actually made by another company, and it still works fine, but it's sort of small and most of the time my clove of garlic has to be cut in half and then that just makes things stick in the holes. And if I have overfilled it, it's super hard to squeeze to get any garlic out. So I started hunting around and have bought many over the past few years that I just keep throwing away, even ones that are recommended by my favorite home cooks on tiktok. I bought the pepper cannon earlier this year (yes, you need it, even at full price) and decided I was going to risk it all on this garlic press and folks, I'm super happy to report I did not waste a penny of my money purchasing this garlic press. It's so nice in your hand, it presses a clove of garlic unlike any garlic press I have ever owned, and it's so easy to clean. You don't have to have the strength of two men to press a clove that's a smidge too big through it, and it seems to get every last bit of garlic out of the clove you stuck in it. It's really impressive, and I absolutely love it. I will probably buy anything made by this company now, the quality is just that phenomenal.

Mostly good
Works great, relatively easy to clean. I'm deducting one star because when placed in dishwasher it tends to trap water.

tl;dr Yes, it's expensive, but if you cook with garlic, you should make this one-time purchase.
Though this came highly recommended, I was as nervous as anyone about spending such a large amount on a garlic press. Who wouldn't be? However, I have now owned the press for six months and used it nearly every day ( I cook a lot of Italian and Asian dishes, so garlic is a staple ingredient). Here's what I can report:You really can use it without peeling the garlic cloves. I sometimes still do, mostly out of habit, but it's genuinely not necessary. It's just as easy to clean as they say. No more picking out clinging pieces from a recessed cup. The whole press flips open and offers easy access to be thoroughly cleaned. It's fast. The leverage you get is amazing and it crushes the cloves quickly and easily. It's durable. After half a year of daily use it still looks like it did the moment it came out of the box. I genuinely have no concerns about this press lasting for the rest of my life. Now to be fair, not everyone needs this tool: if you don't really cook at home, or if you never need to do more than one or two cloves of garlic at a time, then you can pass on it; I won't hold it against you. But if you ever make garlic noodles or Thai beef bowls or Bulgogi or your own pasta sauce, you know what a pain it can be to press or mince six or eight garlic cloves. If that's you, and you're on the fence about this, let me tip you over: you won't regret it.

The whole thing jammed on my second garlic clove
I was so excited to try this and it looks and feels heavy and of good quality. The first few cloves it worked well, but they were small. Then I tried a medium size garlic clove and it jammed. The screen part when through the back end and I couldn't open to clean it. Plus, the garlic squeezes out the sides and does not mince. So disappointed :-(

Ideal for weak hands
It was time to replace our old garlic press. The old one worked well, except after six years, the metal finish was starting to peel off. Also, my wife has gotten to the point where she does not have the hand strength to use the old press.Initially I was reluctant to spend $50.00 on this press, but for various reasons, the lower priced units would not work if I wanted my wife to use it.I finally read that the "double-lever assisted garlic mincer generates more force with less effort. So, I bought it. She was impressed by the design... I put a large clove into it and handed to her. Her only response when she squeezed it was WOW, just WOW.Very happy with this garlic press (super easy to clean up!)
