Doesn't work in a kitchen drain.
I got this as a back flow inhibiter. For this to work as shown in a kitchen drain, the drain must NOT have a cross member most have for the drain stop to set into. It must be cut out for it to fit. It will not fit between the fittings. Should you cut that out, there is still the problem of it just pushing out of the drain as nothing really holds it in place. My disposal system pushes out the water at a high rate and this overflows the other side of the sink to the point it shoots out of it. I had hopes this would stop that, but it will not. Didn't work as a backflow for me.

I guess they would work on a drain you don’t use much
Installed in my shower and they fit okay and install was pretty straightforward but it caused the water to back up during showering to the point where it almost flooded the bathroom. Wife made me take it out and return it after one use. I guess if you’re not flushing a lot of water it would work good but in the shower. Be careful .
